In 1939, a man fueled by vision and unwavering passion embarked on a journey to manufacture leather products for the British Army. His products supplied leather shoes and equipment to thirteen army units during World War II. This man, driven by self-belief and a keen eye for seizing opportunities, laid the foundation for his success.

After the war, he relocated to Wah Cantt, Rawalpindi, Pakistan, where he began working full time at the Wah Ordinance Factory. Despite his main occupation, he continued to nurture his handmade leather shoe business on the side.

Upon his retirement in 1967, he devoted himself entirely to the growth of his business. With the support of his son, they established a well known and trusted handmade custom Pakistani shoe brand that later became a hub of quality footwear.

In 2015, the grandson of the visionary entrepreneur joined the family business with a fervent desire to propel their legacy to new heights.

Bolstered by an astute understanding of local and global trends, as well as technical expertise to steer the business successfully, Muhammad Ali partnered with Muhammad Farrukh Shabbir. Together, they revitalized the enterprise in 2021 under the brand name 'The Canis Majoris.' This name not only draws inspiration from the business's existing commitment to excellence but also embodies their aspiration to surpass all limits and reach new frontiers.
